Extraordinary Attorney Woo – Why Attorney Woo and Young-woo Break Up

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” has become one of the year’s most transformative and popular K-dramas, following an autistic lawyer with near genius-level intelligence who takes on cases that would challenge any attorney.

CEO Tae enlists her to represent Sang-hyun, who had attempted to gain entry to his mother’s phone by hacking into it to verify rumors about an illegitimate daughter rumor. She warns him against playing around as she has an impending minister hearing scheduled soon.

1. They don’t trust each other.

While their split is unfortunate, their divorce makes for an engaging storyline. Attorney woo is an exceptional character: an autistic female rookie attorney with photographic memory who quickly rises through the ranks due to her intelligence and photographic memory. Additionally, she champions diversity within the workplace and fights ableism in her professional life.

In one instance, she assisted the founder of a mall who’d been defrauded by his older brothers and was left penniless. Even though hackers eavesdropped on their conversations, she persuaded them to open his email one day prior to data breach occurring.

Young-woo used her investigative abilities to provide evidence proving that Geumgang’s CEO Choi did not misuse Imha technology without permission. By showing this evidence to the judge, Young-woo was successful in winning this case for Geumgang and their client, Imha.

2. They don’t like each other.

I found this episode particularly fascinating as it showed Young-woo becoming more integrated into the attorney’s group. She’s starting to know everyone better and can even link moments of legal inspiration with whale sightings (because why not!).

It also revealed the adorable way she interacts with Jun-ho, her paralegal. He clearly cares for her deeply and it was touching seeing him try to convince her not to split from him so quickly – leaving Joon Ho feeling inadequately expressed his emotions.

The fifth case was noteworthy as it showed us just how difficult being an attorney is, and that finding out the truth may not always be straightforward. Young-woo was able to establish it by looking out for obvious signs that she was being dishonest with him.

3. They’re not compatible.

Attorney Woo is an autistic female rookie lawyer who quickly becomes one of the star lawyers at her firm due to her photographic memory and high intellect. Her approach to cases differs significantly from that of neurotypical colleagues and clients, often finding creative ways to solve cases.

She finds strength in the company of her coworkers who treat her like family despite not showing it through skinship or verbal communication. She reminds Jun-ho that their relationship is similar to a cat and its owner in that both may never speak directly, yet both love each other regardless.

Young-woo suddenly had an epiphany this week and decided to tell Jun-ho she no longer wishes for him as part of Hanbada team. Even though she still loves them all, Young-woo feels independence is more important. Jun-ho accepts her decision and promises support as she grows.

4. They’re not compatible in the long run.

Attorney Woo often takes on cases that present her and her colleagues with unique challenges. Her intellect and photographic memory enable her to put client interests first while being meticulous in her approach. Consequently, Attorney Woo is frequently successful at winning these cases.

She is very strict with her junior lawyers and possess strong ambition. Unfortunately, however, her personality doesn’t mesh well with Jun-ho’s; instead she would make an excellent sole practitioner running their own law firm.

Jun-ho feels compatible with Young-woo in the long term, yet that does not indicate they will get together soon. He wants their relationship to remain professional. Even though Young-woo has feelings for Jun-ho herself, she doesn’t want their friendship ruined as this could potentially damage her career in the future. Being strong women themselves, both individuals recognize that their current relationship should remain platonic for now.
